Bekkinakaadu, Magadi

Just outside Bangalore lies a magical, wild world. This 25 acre farm is a beautiful slice of it, with a stream joining 2 large reservoirs running through it, and at the base of Savanadurga and adjoining the forest there. The landscape slopes up and down, climbs up to little peaks strewn with boulders, and transports you to a completely different world. A world that belongs to not just humans, but the birds, bears, elephants and of course, the wild cat who all drop in once in a while. A world that Kenneth Anderson also roamed around in and wrote about in the famous story “Old Munisamy and the Panther of Magadi”!
